Nibiru Found? New Evidence Emerges For ‘Planet X’

Could there be an as-yet undiscovered planet stalking the outer reaches of the solar system? For years, many have claimed the existence of a mysterious planet called Nibiru is set for a close encounter with Earth in 2012. Now, according to new research, there may just be scientific evidence
for the existence of such a world. The evidence for ‘Planet X’ – the mysterious hypothesised planet on
the edge of our solar system – has taken a new turn thanks to the mathematics of a noted astronomer.
Rodney Gomes, an astronomer at the National Observatory of Brazil in Rio de Janeiro, says the irregular orbits of small icy bodies beyond Neptune imply that a planet four times the size of Earth is swirling around our Sun in the fringes of the solar system.
Gomes measured the orbits of 92 Kuiper belt objects – small bodies and dwarf planets – and said that six objects appeared to be tugged offcourse compared to their expected orbits. He told astronomers at the American Astronomical Society that the most likely reason for the irregular orbits was a “planetary-mass solar companion” – a distant body of planet size that is powerful enough to move the Kuiper belt objects.
He suggested the planet would be four times bigger than Earth – around the size of Neptune and would be 140 billion miles from the Sun, or about 1,500 times further than the
Earth.
Another possibility, according to Gomes, is a Mars-size object – roughly half Earth’s size – in a highly elongated orbit that would occasionally bring the body sweeping to within 8 billion kilometres of the Sun.Gomes speculates that the planet could have been kicked out of its own star system and later captured by the Sun’s gravity. Alternatively, the planet could once have been part of our solar system, but kicked out by gravitation interaction with other planets. However, due to the distances
involved, it will be tough for Earthbound astronomers to catch a glimpse of the hypothetical newest
member of our solar system. Even “non-planet” Pluto is hard to spot thanks to the distances involved. Planet X has been widely hypothesised for decades, but has never been proven. Planet X became identified with Nibiru, a planet from the works of Ancient Astronaut proponent Zecharia Sitchin, particularly his book The 12th Planet. According to Sitchin, a giant planet (called Nibiru or Marduk) passes by Earth every 3,600 years and allows its sentient inhabitants to interact with humanity. These beings, which Sitchin identified with the Anunnaki of Sumerian myth, were humanity’s first gods.
